Wine Gift Baskets: A Great Gift Idea
It's always difficult to think of a suitable gift idea at the last minute. You don't want to spend money on something that will just be regifted, but finding the right thing can be daunting. If you're the type of shopper that's loath to go anywhere near a mall during the holiday shopping season, the Internet offers a myriad of alternatives--almost too many.
If you want a sure-fire choice, consider a wine gift basket. It's a versatile choice. Usually a great bottle of wine or champagne is paired with something delicious. It might be the traditional cheese, but it could also be something novel like imported cookies. Often companies that sell wine baskets sell non alcoholic baskets filled with things like coffee, tea, and other yummy snacks. Who can say no to a chocolate lover's picnic basket filled with chocolate-covered truffles and champage? Now that's an excellent pairing that will make your gift an instant hit.
Here are some popular categories:
- Non Alcoholic Baskets
- Chocolate Gifts
- Wine Baskets
- Champagne Baskets
- Ben & Jerry's Baskets
- Coffee/Tea Baskets
- Kosher Baskets
- Chamnpagne Baskets
- Beer Baskets

Winehouse sings in Spain, glass of wine in hand (The Charlotte Observer)
Sat, 05 Jul 2008 16:27:51 PDT
Soul diva Amy Winehouse sipped from a glass of red wine and looked a bit unsteady on her feet as she appeared in front of a large audience at the Rock in Rio music festival southeast of Madrid on Friday. Then, as tens of thousands cheered, she threw off a pair of high stiletto heels in favor of white moccasins, donned a white electric guitar and settled into an intense rendition of some of her ...
A Happy Fourth

Midweek was sort of challenging around here, but moving on! Yesterday we went to Mystic Seaport for their Independence Day celebration. We don't usually visit such places on weekends, or during special events (ack, the crowds!) but we packed a picnic lunch, did our best, and told the kids we'd take a steamboat ride during the next visit, not on a weekend. (I love being a member.) The kids decorated Fourth of July hats. Vaughan decided to participate in the Children's Parade portion of the 1876
Blame it on chain

Blame it on chain July 5th, 2008 by Ron Coleman You’d think a catalog page is a great way, in a trademark registration application, to show use of a trademark “in commerce” associated with the goods or services being offered. You could be wrong, though. John Welch reports a TTAB decision upholding the denial of a trademark application for machine chain supported by a specimen of use depicting the mark in a catalog. It seems the catalog was so fancy-shmancy that it outdid itself by not really
How I prepare a sermon
Sat, 05 Jul 2008 17:40:04 PDT
Several people have recently asked me what process I go through in sermon preparation, so I thought I’d share it here. This is a far longer post than normal, but perhaps other preachers (particularly younger men) might find it useful. There are five steps that are important to me: Divide: Firstly, I decide how many verses should I preach on by looking for divisions at the beginning and end of the passage. I’m looking for a natural unit in the passage that has plenty to say. With compact histo

Homesickness got the better of me. A flight one-way from Canberra to Melbourne with twenty-four hours' notice would have cost me a minimum of $330.00, and that's without return costs, so the bus it was. Nine hours overnight, with a 12.30am stop in Albury. Despite the wine and sleeping tablets, I managed to doze, only. At best. I slept most of yesterday, but it was great being home. Curled up in one's own bed with one's own love, and one's own cat. Bliss. We're never doing this again. If the job

So much for that bright idea.

My new office is furnished and just needs a few remaining touches. I've inhabited its space every day on my pseudo vacation, getting used to its new feel and looking forward to the next time I can be there. Am I there right now? No. No I'm not. The office, as much as I love it and am proud of what I was able to put together on a very small budget and a precious allotment of time, is up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway. Under normal conditions, I would actually prefer this seclusion. Bu
